In Memoriam: Elliott E. Franks, III
We are very saddened that on October 16, 2008, our friend and colleague, Elliott E. Franks III, passed away. Mr. Franks was the founding President and CEO of the South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority and his legacy and the impact of his work will be long lasting in the business community and beyond, across South Carolina. He was a pioneer and leader all his professional life — from the Urban League to WOIC Radio to beginning his public service in business development at the request of Gov. Dick Riley to the quarter-century he led JEDA. He will be greatly missed.
The work of JEDA will continue, as Harry Huntley will now serve as the point of contact for JEDA. Please contact Harry at hhuntley@scjeda.net or at (803) 737-0627.
Welcome!
