State Library Promotes Literary Arts Via YouTube
The South Carolina Center for the Book, located at the South Carolina State Library recently hosted a book discussion as part of its Speaker @ the Center series which highlights South Carolina authors and literary-related lectures.

STATE LIBRARY PROMOTES LITERARY ARTS VIA YOUTUBE

The South Carolina Center for the Book, located at the South Carolina State Library recently hosted a book discussion as part of its Speaker @ the Center series which highlights South Carolina authors and literary-related lectures.  Sheila Morris, South Carolina resident and author of “Deep in the Heart” discussed her latest book in conjunction with National Women’s History Month.

Videos of Morris’ readings and discussion can be viewed at the State Library’s YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/scstatelibrary. After creating a free YouTube account, visitors can choose to subscribe to the State Library’s YouTube channel by clicking the “Subscribe” button on the channel’s web page. New videos will be added regularly and subscribers will be notified via email.

The Speaker @ the Center series is a monthly discussion/author series hosted by the South Carolina Center for the Book and is free to the public.  Programs are usually held the third Thursday of each month and are located at the South Carolina State Library’s administration building at 1430 Senate Street, Columbia.
