Press Release:

From now through December 14, the Budget and Control Board’s Surplus Property Warehouse is offering great deals on computers for customers who donate a $30 toy to the Toys for Tots program.

Customers will receive a central processing unit, monitor, keyboard and two power cords for $35 with the donation of a $30 toy. There are 100 computers currently available, and it is anticipated that they will sell out soon. To get your discount, just bring the toy and receipt with you to the warehouse.

You can also get discounts on other surplus items such as office equipment. A $10.00 toy will earn you a 25 percent discount, a $20.00 toy receives a 50 percent discount and a toy valued at $30.00 or more will permit customers to take 70 percent off.

Surplus Property has worked with U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots for the last three years.

“Toys for Tots provides a great service to the underprivileged youth in our communities. What better way is there for state property to be utilized than to help the people that are affected in our communities through this valuable program?” said State Surplus Property Manager Tom Hornsby.
